WATCH: Former Ranger, Wotjek Wolski suffers serious neck injury in KHL
Former Ranger, Wotjek Wolski suffered a serious neck injury in the KHL. Warning: video is tough to watch.
Wolski, who plays for Magnitogorsk Metallurg, crashed into the boards and is reportedly out for the season with two broken cervical vertebrae (the vertebrae of the neck), spinal cord trauma, and a concussion.
Wolski played for the Rangers in 2011 and played just 37 games for the team. He tallied 6 goals and 13 assists for the Blueshirts. He told TSN’s Gino Reda afterwards that he felt “lucky” because the injury could’ve been a lot worse.
Wishing Wotjek a speedy and full recovery.
